We are a family of four that has been dreaming about building our home for a while. We have heard so many nightmare stories on mass produced building companies and were so excited to find the McGowans! From our first phone call with John, we knew this was a family who was trustworthy, easy to talk to, and no guessing games. He never rushed us into our decision making. Misti stayed in contact with us the whole time answering any questions we had. Even after moving in they have made themselves available to us. Their quality of work speaks for itself. No corners were cut! Our home is everything we dreamed of and more!!! The McGowans showed us this is easily the best decision we have made for our family! My cousin, who works for McNaughton Real Estate, showed my mother and I this house that was being built. It was already getting everything we wanted. It had a standing shower, open kitchen, and duel sinks. It was just walls when we bought it. McGowan Built let us pick out our carpet, doors, and the counters, which we were not expecting. We've lived in our HOME since October and we've loved every day. Feeling blessed everyday.

Since the first day we met John to discuss him building our custom home we knew it was going to be a very good experience. McGowan Built met and exceeded our wildest expectations. Craftsmanship AND Kindness! The home is such incredible quality and has so much attention to detail!!! From the incredible kitchen faucet to the built-in closets to the beautiful trim to the soft-closing drawers!!! The quality and details makes the home breathtaking! Like that wasn’t enough, McGowan Built was INCREDIBLE to work wirth!!! I couldn’t wish for better customer service! From answering every silly question I had to making every request come true!!! I’m in awe!!! This home is so much better than I ever dreamed of!!!

There are really no words to accurately describe my gratitude for the McGowan Built team. I have built both custom and semi-custom homes many times, and NEVER have I had an experience that was as smooth, efficient and enjoyable as the home I just finished with John, Misti and Scott. John engaged with me very early to evaluate land options and manage my desire to not “overbuild”. He invested time looking at lots and answering my endless questions with zero guarantee that I was buying any land at all or using the McGowan Built team as my partner. McGowan Built served as my realtor to purchase the lot and the day I closed on my construction loan they started prepping it and 24 weeks later we were completely done. There was never a week where there was not something happening at the house! They patiently calmed my “Type A personality” fears regarding my spending or what wall color to choose (BTW…it turned out perfect lol) and willingly took on new challenges like creating a faux brick wall in my master bedroom with nothing more than a video I found on how to do it. Most importantly, I experienced more personal tragedy in the last six weeks of my build than I have ever endured in my life. Not only did they keep things going and shield me from as much of the day-to-day bustle as possible, but they truly cared about how I was feeling. They bring the word “partners” to life and are no longer just my builder…they are friends. I will forever choose the McGowan Built team to create my homes and am blessed to have crossed paths with this great team and to have had them in my corner these last few weeks!

When we set out to build a home, we had very clear expectations for our home and builder. Most importantly, we wanted our home to be within our budget. We needed a builder to give us an exact cost for every single element before we could proceed. McGowan built did just that. At the end of the whole process we came in very close to budget. Another expectation for our builder was great communication. We wanted to hear about every detail and be included in all decision making. John and Misti did a great job of communicating with us throughout the process. While other big builders in the NWA area will actually charge thousands of dollars to communicate during the building process, John and Misti were always available to talk. Lastly, we wanted our home built quickly and efficiently. Other builders we spoke with estimated +9 months for a custom home, but the McGowans had ours built in 7 months (including significant land prep/tree removal) We really appreciate the work they did for us. We would definitely use McGowan Built in future projects!

John and Misti built our very first custom home. Before we even purchased our land, they were intricately involved in helping and advising us in our search. This level of availability and responsiveness carried through our entire build. The McGowan Team has a high level of expertise in problem solving, and throughout our build John and Misti continuously presented ideas and options to enhance the build and maximize the use of our land and square footage.
